Session 02 : The Cost of Discipleship
After defining what discipleship is all about (see Session 1), our second session takes us a step further: Lynn Green shares and explains what we mean when we talk about “the cost of discipleship”. Any quality product you buy in a store will cost you something - if something is almost free, there is often a reason for that. Following Jesus doesn’t come for free either, there are certain things that we need to deal with and let go of. These processes are sometimes challenging, but it’s definitely worth it. Jesus invites us to lay down our lives and make him our first priority in our lives. As we follow him, we need to get rid of our idols - things that are trying to take over and distract us from giving our all to Jesus. Lynn Green looks at different passages in the Gospels, in which Jesus talks about leaving things behind in order to follow him - are you ready for this challenge?
