Session 14 : New Testament
Over this session and the previous one, Jordan Weatherson is taking us through the whole story of the Bible to give you a clearer understanding of the complete story. This perspective is vital in understanding how we fit into the larger narrative of God’s relationship to His creation. We are going to approach this through the 4 “sons” or image-bearers of the story. For the second part of our Bible overview, Jordan Weatherson is with us again to continue the story of the four “sons” or image-bearers. This time we will be looking at the latter 2 “sons” in the new testament. These next two are Jesus and the church. Jesus came as the perfect reflection of the Father to mend and serve as a bridge between all humanity and God. This bridge fundamentally changed the relationship between God and humanity by removing the veil between each one of us and a direct connection with the Father. This paves the path for the 4th “son.”
